Robert Zemeckis Must Be Stopped
Short of inflicting personal physical violence on the man, please help the world of motion picture storytelling and humanity in general by stopping Robert Zemeckis.
His most recent mess is a mo-cap monstrosity that pillages a classic holiday tale- Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. I've seen the trailer, and that is more than enough. It's WRONG.
Stop Zemeckis by not seeing this film. Ever. And by telling all your friends to not see this film. He is not making movies, he is making atrocities, and trying to pass them off as "the future of film making". If it bombs, he might not get to make another.
I have never used this blog as a place to call people to action, but I can't stop myself now.
The fate of motion pictures is in YOUR ticket-buy, DVD renting, PVR-clicking, and downloading hands.
I have had it with this guy. Please stop Robert Zemeckis.
Thank you.

I don't know if you follow cartoon brew or not but:

I gladly enlist in your righteous "humanity saving" drive to stop the Z-Creature (the anti-artist formerly known as Bobby Zemeckis). You are a discerning man Chris, I'm with you. It's for the chillun' too :)
best,

yeah Nicole- Cartoon Brew... other professionals I've been venting with the last couple of days... It's just become insane. He has to be stopped.
and Rogue- we are doing it for the chillun, and the chillun's chilluns.
It's hard to believe that the talented filmmaker who once gave us "Back to the Future" and "Forrest Gump", not to mention "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" which helped revive REAL animation at that time, is now churning out films with soulless wax figures by way of this hideous mo-cap medium. Actually, I have a theory that this demon you speak of, Chris, is in fact not the real Robert Zemeckis, but is instead one of those very mo-cap automatons that has somehow escaped from within the confines of its computer holding cell and now yields unspeakable powers over all of Hollywood. It troubles me no end to think of the real Robert Zemeckis bound and gagged in some studio broom closet while his digital doppelganger sets out on its mission of entertainment world domination!
Peter, your theory is chilling... and may prove true.
I think mocap is best used for video games or promotional websites.
Word on the Wiki that Zemeckis will be reeking more havoc with Roger Rabbit 2 and another Yellow Submarine production. Ow! My soul hurts a lil.
As I know I know a theory that this demon you speak of, Chris, is in fact not the real Robert Zemeckis, but is instead one of those very mo-cap automatons that has somehow escaped from within the confines of its computer holding cell
